Top Donor

The Hadley-Luzerne Lions Club has been recognized by the Dictionary Project as a top donor, for New York, for its commitment to learning by Stuart M. Townsend Middle Schoolers. For a number of year the Hadley-Luzerne Lions have purchased a dictionary and an atlas for every sixth grader at the School. The Dictionary Project is a non-profit organization which helps groups to supply low cost learning materials to local schools.

Hadley- Lions Club dedicates a park in honor of Colonel James Priddy

To Honor this Memorial Day, in which so many men and women have given their lives so that we can remain free we are gathered today to honor one of Lake Luzerne own.

I would like to thank the Supervisor Merlino and Town of Lake Luzerne Building and Grounds Dept. for doing all the work and the Hadley-Luzerne Lions club for providing the funding that went into making this pull off a park.

It was 47 years ago Stewart M Towsend and the Hadley Luzerne Lions club dedicated this road side pull off in honor of Colonel James Priddy, and today we are rededicated this as Colonel James Priddy Park.

Colonel James Priddy, saw action as part of the greatest generation in World War II (China), Korea and Vietnam.

The Parks was rededicated today by Mrs. Bea Evans who was there for the original dedication 47 year ago, Joining Bea are Supervisor Merion and Hadley Luzerne Lions Present Tink Wright
